Las Vegas Retailer applied LED Light for million dollar energy saving

Furniture retailer in Las Vegas are substitute their salesroom's halogen spotlights with energy-efficient, less-burning LED lights, which may reduce the cost of energy and maintenance by around 300K USDs yearly. The total savings are expected to reach US$3.4 million over the operation life of these LED fixtures.

With the installation of 4.5K MSi ipar LED light fixtures, the "City of Lights" has become a bit brighter and greener. RC Willey, a furniture retail company based in NV, also chose the alternative of led lighting to replace its halogens in its Las Vegas showroom.

10W iPar LED lights are introduced from Msi to replace their previous 90W halegen spotlights. The replacement is much easy, just a matter of uninstall and install thanks to the great compatibility. And it live up to the expectation immediately and dramatically. Only in a few hours, the staffs noticed the temperature drop in the showrooms as LEDs generates much less heat. There is a saving of around 100K USDs only by raising air conditioner thermostat setting by 4℃.

Of course, LED Solutions produces not only savings in cooling cost but also great saving in lighting electricity. 1/9 of the energy consumption of LED spotlights are comparable to that of halogens as seen from the example above. Moreover, there is not sacrifice of the ability of product display. Other savings that come from lower maintenance and replacement cost is also significant. An 12hour/day halogens need to be replaced in 4 four months period, but the period for LED spotlights are 10 years.

Currently, concerns from many retailers are the initial cost of LED replacement, but if they can take the time to run the numbers, they will certainly find out it really worth the investment. They will finally realize the application of LED Lights is rather a profitable investment than just an expenditure.
